History
Noyota Heavy Manufacturing Concern was founded in Kyoto Japan on August 23rd 1937 by Mr Saito Noyoto. The initial focus of the company was the manufacture of ore processing equipment but by 1940 had branched out to encompass the manufacture of a wide variety of mining equipment and related logistics vehicles. With Japan's entry into World War II Noyota HMC was tasked with retooling their extensive manufactories for the production of aircraft components and military vehicles. At the end of hostilities Noyota HMC found itself well positioned to play a great role in the rebuilding of the shattered Japanese economy. The manufactories tooled for wartime production were readily converted to automotive production and Noyota's first car rolled off the production line in 1947.
